Kenya drop 13 places in latest FIFA Rankings

Nairobi, KENYA: Kenya’s men’s soccer team Harambee Stars has dropped yet again in the world football governing body FIFA Rankings.

According the latest Rankings released on Thursday, the Stanley Okumbi coached side sunk 13 places to position 129 from 116 they posted last month.

This comes barely a week after Harambee Stars drew 1-1 with lowly ranked Sudan and Tanzania in a friendly match palyed in Karasani stadium, Nairobi.

Kenya’s opponents in the 2017 Africa Nations Cup qualifiers Congo Brazzaville, sits 60th globally after dropping one position.

Algeria is the best ranked team in Africa followed by AFCON title holders Cote d’Ivoire while Ghana, Senegal and Egypt wrap up the best five countries in the continent respectively.

Globally, Argentina leads followed by Belgium, Colombia, world defending champions Germany and Copa America title holders Chile complete the top five teams.
