Nairobi, KENYA: National soccer team Harambee Stars came from behind to draw 1-1 with Sudan in a test match played at Kasarani stadium, Nairobi on Tuesday.

Head coach Stanley Okumbi who was hoping for a maiden triumph since taking charges saw his side go down in the 24th minute after the visitors took the lead thanks to Nazar Hamid strike.

Despite creating open chances after the exchange, Stars hardly hit the target with Sudan deploying numbers behind the ball and hitting on the break.

Stars’ effort however paid off when defender Brian Mandela scored a last gasp header to ensure the tie goes even just as was in the case against Tanzania in another friendly match played last weekend.

Harambee Stars who finished the match one man less after Gor Mahia ace Francis Kahata was red-carded will now switch focus to Sunday’s Africa Nations Cup qualifiers match against Congo Brazzaville.
