Mombasa, KENYA: Tourism stakeholders in Mombasa are crying foul over the anti-IEBC demos led by CORD on Monday; saying they incurred losses.

Swams Tours and Safaris Ltd director Amina Abdhallah says that her company got a loss of over Ksh 400, 000 on Monday when the demos were taking place.

She says that many tourists, who had already paid for city tour, cancelled their trips fearing for their safety.

Amina says there are more than 100 tourists who had just arrived at the Port of Mombasa on Monday, and they were supposed to be taken to Fort Jesus, National Parks and other tourist attraction cites, who cancelled their trips.

“All our trips on Monday were cancelled and we had already paid for our license to the county, so we urge the governor if possible to take responsible and pay our losses,” said Amina.
