Award winning boy band Sauti Sol have come out to dismiss critics who have judged Gospel musician Willy Paul for working with them in his latest release “Take It Slow”.
Speaking in Mombasa during a briefing with the media over the weekend, Sauti Sol’s Bien Baraza accused critics of focusing on matters that don’t have value instead of concentrating on the song’s message.
“People are asking him questions like why are you working with secular artists Men what the hell!? You should just grow up! Listen to the song, it has a message that you need to focus on.” Said Bien.
Baraza added that it doesn’t matter whether Sauti Sol works with Willy Paul to produce a song or any other artist, as God serves all adding that the song’s message was dedicated to the youth.
The celebrated singing group said that nobody has the right to judge anyone.
“People who categorize the song as gospel or not who are you to judge? Who are you to seat on God’s throne?” Asked Savara.
On Djs who allegedly refused to play the song this is what Sauti Sol had for them:
“Mwanzo hao Dj wamesema hawaichezi musiicheze! watu wataenda kwa youtube!! Na mwanzo you tube tutalipwa!'” Said an agitated Bien.
