7 illegal Ethiopian immigrants nabbed in Likoni

Mombasa, KENYA: Police in Mombasa have arrested 7 Ethiopians illegal migrants.

The suspects were nabbed at the Kenya ferry while trying to cross the channel.

Likoni police chief Willy Simba said police received a tip off from public that there were some suspicious characters in a small car Toyota Rav4 registration number KCA 783 Y and were en route to Lunga Lunga.

Mr simba said the car was being driven by driver identified as Robert Msando Meti whose nationality is yet to be identified.He was also arrested.

The suspects were identified as Makengo Mamush Bekele 29,Madebo Dejene Ashore deseleign detebo 23, girma gabre lengu 25 taketer habichu abaa 25 and dalalo chamiso Manido25.

He said that the immigrants were in very poor condition because of hunger as they underwent a long journey
The police boss noted that the suspects will be charged with the offence of human trafficking.
