Hijacked bodaboda operator found dead at Voi forest

Kwale, KENYA: Five days after one of Tiwi bodaboda operators was reported missing, his body was on Sunday found dead in Voi forest, Taita Taveta county.

The deceased named Hamisi Mwalachu is said to have been hijacked by unknown people on Wednesday last week at Chai village, Tiwi ward in Kwale county.

The hijackers were said to have trailed Mwalachu with a Toyota Prado from Tsimba village a distance of not less than ten kilometers from tiwi as reported by tiwi chief kuphuma.

The Prado is said to have been carrying one white man and two black people, a man and a woman.

Mwanaidi Juma the deceased’s wife, said her husband left his house on Wednesday morning to go to work as usual; him being a boda boda operator.

She added that the family got shocked when he did not come back in the evening as usual.

County security agents say have started investigating the incident.
