Nairobi, KENYA: AFC Leopards continued its quest for first Kenya Premier League title in a decade with a 2-1 victory over struggling Sofapaka on Saturday.

Two goals in either half from Kepha Aswani and Simon Abuko cancelled out a Brian Nyakan opener to send Leopards at the summit on 17 points from eight matches.

The defeat leaves Sofapaka dangling at the bottom of the log on three points with seven defeats in succession.

Elsewhere, Tusker came from behind to edge hosts Western Stima 2-1 at the Moi stadium Kisumu.

Michael Khamati and Eugene Asike scored a goal apiece as the Brewers cruise through to go level on points with AFC Leopards at the apex.

Other day’s matches saw Mathare United humble Sony Sugar 1-0, the same result registered by Kakamega Homeboyz against Nairobi City Stars.
