Nairobi, KENYA: The National men’s soccer team Harambee Stars has dropped 12 places to position 115 from 102 it held last month according to the April FIFA Rankings.

This comes following Star’s poor run in the 2017 Africa Nations Cup qualifiers where they lost 1-0 in a two legged meeting with lowly ranked Guinea Bissau.

The result proved significant to Bissau who gained 45 places to move up to position 102, the most outstanding performers according to the rankings.

In the CECAFA region Kenya is placed third behind Uganda and Rwanda, while in the continent Harambee Stars is ranked 33rd.

Algeria is the best team in Africa followed by champions Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal and Egypt in that order.

Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Spain, Colombia and Germany are leading the global rankings respectively.
