Paris,KENYA: Kenya continued its world’s dominance in sprint after Cyprian Kotut claimed the 40th edition of the Paris Marathon on Sunday.
Kotut 24-year-old clocked 2:7:11 in a Kenyan podium sweep, a month after winning the Paris half-marathon.
Compatriots Laban Korir and Stephen Chelenya came second and third on 2:07.29 and 2:07.37 respectively.
In women’s category Visiline Jepkesho crossed the line first in 2:25:52 seconds seeing off Ethiopians Gulume Chala et Dinknesh Tefera.
This comes as Kenya risk being declared non complaint to World Anti-Doping Agencies (WADA) code should it not pass the Anti-Doping bill.
WADA has given Kenya up to 5th April for second time to pass the bill failure to which the nation might face serious sanctions.
The bill was tabled before the Parliament last Wednesday but will have to wait until 12th April when the house resume duties after recess.
