Kampala, UGANDA: Terrorism has been a global threat with football stadiums being the latest target due to huge number of fans who turn out to watch their respective teams play.
This has prompted many countries to beef up security in safety assurance of the football lovers especially after bombing attack that happened earlier this year in a match pitting France and World champion Germany leaving many wounded.
However, Ugandan cops on Tuesday went a step a further in their bid to curb any insecurity incidences in the Africa Nations Cup qualifiers match between hosts Uganda and Burkina Faso.
A photo showing the cops frisking thousands of fans who had gone to watch the match at Nambole stadium went viral on social media after the officers were caught on camera bizzarely checking fans.
The cops left nothing to chance as some even touched private parts of female fans in search of any object that could be sneaked into the stadium.
Nevertheless fans were never laid-back with the search, and indeed it went on.
