Police in Malindi early Wednesday shot dead four most wanted terror suspects and recovered firearms.
The 4 suspects were killed in the dawn shot out which occurred a day after President Uhuru Kenyatta issued a stun warning to terror groups threatening the country’s security.
Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet confirmed saying that the police also recovered firearms and high explosive materials from the suspects.
Boinnet said a team of security officers had gone to arrest the suspects when they confronted them.
The suspects have been in the police radar over a series of attacks and plans to cause more attacks in various parts of the country.
