DPP directs EACC to investigate transfer of Integrity Center

The Director of Public Prosecution Keriako Tobiko has directed Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission EACC to further investigate the alleged irregular transfer of integrity center building belonging to Trust Bank ltd.

In a statement on Wednesday Tobiko said that after reviewing the file submitted to him where EACC found no evidence ,he show the need for the commission to further investigate the file after noticing some gaps on the matter.

The EACC inquiry file is related to allegations that Trade bank center (integrity center )belonging to trust bank ltd was irregular transferred to private entities.

Eacc investigated the allegations and from the evidence obtained found no criminal culpability on the part of public officer .

“Eacc therefore recommended the file be closed.upon independent analysis of the evidence in the inquiry file the DPP noted some critical gaps in the file which must be addressed before a final decision is made.”Tobiko said In a statement

Tobiko also directed that file implicating former home affairs PS Ludeki Chweya be further investigated over alleged misappropriation of shs 219 ,850 ,000 meant for purchase 120 housing units for prison officers .

Rauraka Member of parliament Thomas J Kajwang also found himself off the hook over allegations that he facilitated employment of Everlyn Achieng Osogo in parliament which lead her to draw two salaries .

The DPP indicated that there was no evidence to charge the legislator.
