Coastal based Kenya Premier League side Bandari FC have confirmed the signing of AFC Leopards pair Edwin Wafula and Bernard Mang’oli on a two year contract.
In a statement posted on the club’s portal, the Dockers expressed their pleasure to have secured the services of the duo on a free transfer after seeing their respective contract expire at the den.
Mangoli was an integral part of Leopards last campaign firing five goals in 25 appearances to help them finish seventh despite all the financial constraints that marred their 2015 season.
Bandari Media Liason officer Ernest Mbalanya said the capture of the duo was a major boost for the team more so now that they will have a lot of matches with continental duties added to their assignments.
“It’s an honor to welcome Mangoli and Wafula to Bandari. Their arrival will be very beneficial in every aspect,” Ernest said.
The pair becomes Bandar’s third and fourth signings after former Sofapaka skipper Felly Mulumba and Chemelil Sugar’s marksman Meshack Karani who inked paper with the Dockers early December.
Bandari are also heavily linked with a move for former Gor Mahia forward Edwin Lavatsa who plied his trade with Mathare United last season.
Lavatsa’s contract with Mathare expired last season and it’s believed talks are at an advanced stage for a possible switch to Bandari.
