Kenya Bodybuilding Federation KBBF in conjunction with Modern fitness gym have Launched MR/MS MODERN FITNESS competition that will see winners walk away with sh250, 000 on 5th Dec 2015.

Speaking during a press briefing at Modern Fitness Gym in Nyali on Thursday , Chairman Kenya Bodybuilding Federation (KBBF) Chris Omedo, said the competition is open to all and it’s going to be one of its kind.

“This is the first event in the history of body building in this country whereby a prize money has been of this magnitude we thank modern fitness for working with us to ensure that the lively hood and lifestyle of body builders in this country is changed for the best,” said Omedo.

According to Omedo, the competition has attracted participants from different parts of Africa and the world and has requested everyone interested to visit them for more information.

“So far 4 countries have confirmed; there are athletes from Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda and Dubai who will be coming on the 5th,” he said.

The winner is expected to walk away with KSHS 250,000, 1st runners up with Ksh 100,000, 3rd runners up to get Ksh 75,000 and finally position 4, 5 and 6 get 50,000,30,000 and 20,000 in that order respectively.

He added that the competition is open to the ladies as they do not discriminate on any one and In the Ladies category which has two; Bikini and Figure, the winners will walk away with Ksh.40, 000 and Ksh. 50,000 correspondingly.

Kenya Bodybuilding Federation is in the process of ensuring that qualified fitness instructions takes place in the local “mtaani” gyms and is also working with schools, to educate people on the importance of exercising so as to prevent lifestyle diseases.

“We have already started in Kakamega County where we were from 29th to 31stOctober , educating the people about importance of exercising to defeat lifestyle diseases,” said Omedo.
