World Football Governing body FIFA on Wednesday published seven names of the candidates who will be running for the February 26th presidential elections.

The candidates include suspended UEFA president and FIFA vice President Michel Platini, Jordan Football Association president Prince Ali bin al-Hussein, Liberian Football Association president Musa Bility, former FIFA executive Jerome Champagne, UEFA’s general secretary Gianni Infantino, Asian Football Confederation president Ebrahim al-Khalifa and former South Africa government minister Tokyo Sexwale.

The election will be held to find a successor for the longest serving president Sepp Blatter who is currently on suspension citing criminal investigations.

Blatter, 79, opted to step aside in June barely a month after being elected for a fifth term in office following corruption scandals that marred the football governing body but was later forced out of the helm before the February elections by FIFA investigations committee.
