Deputy President William Ruto says Kenya will engage whoever wins the just ended Tanzanian General Elections
The DP said on Tuesday through his social media handles that the Kenya government is please with the way the Tanzanian elections were conducted in a democratic manner.
“We will engage whoever wins. What is happening in elections in Tanzania is robust demonstration of democracy.” said Ruto.
Ruto spoke as elections results continue to trickle in at Julius Nyerere International Conference Center where the country’s electoral body NEC is officially announcing winners.
Preliminary poll results have seen the ruling party CCM Presidential candidate Pombe Magufuli massing more votes than his opponent.
Magufuli has for a long time political friend of the Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Meanwhile, the Tanzania National Electoral Commission chairman Damian Lubuva has asked the public to wait for official poll results from the commission and warned media against issuing reports that are contrary to results being currently being announced.
