Gulf Bank has reassured its customers that there money is safe and secure.
The bank on Monday denied a report claimed to be from Central Bank of Kenya, allegedly listing it among many other banks which were put under statutory management.
Gulf Bank Mombasa branch Manager Abdalla Abdulkhaliq however urged customers to ignore the rumor’s terming them as false and untrue.
He thanked CBK for immediate after the said report was seen circulating in the Social Media.
Abdulkhaliq said the bank has been financially healthy despite economic challenges facing the country’s financial sector.
‘Gulf Bank started its operations in the year 2007 and 2008 when economy in the country was very poor, it was not the right time to start a bank but we managed’ said Abdulkhaliq.
