Bandari improved their league standings with a 3-1 win over Western Stima in a SportPesa Premier League clash played on Saturday at Mbaraki Stadium, in Mombasa.
Twahir Muhiddin coached side opened the scoring one minute to the interval through George Abege who headed in a Musa Mude free kick before David King’atua capitalized on the visitors’ defensive error to put the Dockers 2-0 up two minutes into the second half.
Western Stima halved the deficit from the spot in the 69th and while pressing hard for an equalizer, Bandari retaliated grabbing the winner to go third on the log with 45 points thanks to David King’atua late strike.
Meanwhile, Ulinzi Stars compounded KCB woes with a 2-0 thumping a result that left the Banker’s league survival hanging on the thread after fellow relegation candidates City Stars picked a 1-0 win at Ushuru FC.
Sitting 15th on 24 points, two shy of City Stars with one match to spare, KCB must collect maximum points when the season’s curtain come down next weekend and hope the former stumble for them to survive.
