Ulinzi stars player after beating Leopards 4-0

Ulinzi Stars silenced AFC Leopards with a 4-0 rout in a Gotv Shield match staged at Afraha Stadium on Wednesday to qualify for the last eight of the knock out competition.

After suffering a shock 2-0 defeat at home to Thika United in a SportPesa Premier League tie last weekend, the soldiers produced a throttle performance through goals scored by Enos Ochieng’, Evans Amuoka, Boniface Onyango and John Makwatta.

Enos Ochieng’ opened the score-sheet with his 11th minute strike, and just at the mark of half time, Evans Amuoka headed in to put Ulinzi 2-0 up ahead of the breather.

Boniface Onyango and John Makwata goals in 45 minutes and 88 minutes respectively ensured that the soldiers condemn embattled Leopards to another trophy-less campaign.

Ulinzi will now face Bandari FC in the quarter finals slated for later next month, while Leopards remain to mourn their daunting season crowded with on and off the pitch issues that proved their undoing.
