Terryanne Dama Kithavira clinched the Kilifi County’s Miss Mazingira 2015 Crown after beating 10 other contestants during a pageant contest held at Hotel Titanic in Kilifi Town.
Terryanne 22 and former St. Tito Girls Karura attracted judges’ eyes with her eloquent performance in a series of cat walks which included casual, beach, official and dinner wear.
“I am humbled to be crowned the Miss Mazingira 2015 in Kilifi County,” Terryanne said humbly after being crowned.
“It has been a long journey which required a lot of commitment and devotion. I urge my fellow colleagues to continue working industriously and taking our county ahead.” She added.
Winnie Kemunto emerged second position followed by Rose Namikoye who settled on third position.
The pageant was graced by Kilifi Deputy Governor Kenneth Kamto, Kilifi County’s chief officer of the health department and Dr. Timothy Malingi.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Deputy Governor thanked the event organizers for their efforts in creating awareness about environment and recognizing emerging talents.
“I promise to work closely with the youths and urge them to turn into entrepreneurship as way of combating poverty in the County,” said Kamto.
