ODM MPs Friday named two senior personalities in Jubilee Government as being instrumental in fixing the Deputy President William Ruto at The International Criminal Court –ICC.

Ten ODM MPs issued a statement in Nairobi allegedly linking President Uhuru Kenyatta’s political advisor Nancy Gitau and Defense Principal Secretary Mutea Iringo as the real people who fixed Ruto.

The MPs called for immediate prosecution of the two and claimed that Moses Kuria’s recent revelations were just diversionary tactics employed by the Kenyatta government to shield the real faces behind William Ruto’s woes at the ICC.

“We are here to restate the position we took this week that President Uhuru Kenyatta was fully aware of and funded the procuring of witnesses against his Deputy William Ruto. We also restate that contrary to what Jubilee is saying, Uhuru Kenyatta has done nothing to make sure the case facing Ruto, ends in Ruto’s favour. Here are our reasons. They are ten in number.” the MPs alleged in the statement.

The Opposition MPs insisted that Moses Kuria was just being used by powerful people to hide the real truth from Kenyans about who really fixed Ruto at the ICC.

“Moses Kuria has confessed that he procured and coached witnesses against William Ruto in 2008. At that time, Moses Kuria was an employee of Mr Uhuru Kenyatta. Uhuru had seconded him to the P.N.U Presidential campaign which Uhuru had joined when he agreed to support Mwai Kibaki’s bid for a second term. After the 2007 elections, Moses Kuria joined the U.K centre which was the headquarters of Uhuru Kenyatta’s political activities. He continued to work there until he was elected Member of Parliament for Gatundu South. Moses Kuria was always an employee and agent of Uhuru Kenyatta in procuring and coaching witnesses against William Ruto.” They added.

It is not the first time that Nancy Gitau and Mutea Iringo’s names are being linked to William Ruto’s ICC case.

The two powerful government officials had been accused by Ruto’s ICC lawyers in June 2014 during cross examinations of witnesses of having been involved in witness coaching.

Ruto’s lawyers alleged the two funded the witness protection programme, and coordinated recruitment of witnesses to provide evidence to the Waki Commission to implicate Ruto and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) part.

ODM’s statement comes few days after its party leader Raila Odinga linked President Uhuru with the fixing of William Ruto and Joshua Sang at the ICC.

later, Moses Kuria reportedly confessed in public that he participated in the coaching of witnesses to frame Ruto.
