The controversial doctor who was charged with rape was freed on Monday after his lawyer Cliff Ombeta made a successful application seeking for his release on bond.
Nairobi Chief Magistrate Daniel Ogembo ordered for release of Mugo wa Wairimu on a cash bail of 1million and a bond of 5million with one surety.
The court however cautioned the accused against contacting prosecution witnesses or the complaint.
He was also asked to deposit his passport in Court.
Last week, lawyer Ombeta asked the court to release Mugo on bail saying the charges leveled against him are bailable.
The accused, who owns several clinics in Nairobi, is alleged to have sedated and raped a woman in one of his clinics.
The prosecution told the court that he has two more witnesses outside Nairobi who have not recorded statements.
Mugo wa Wairimu already has a separate case of practising without authority that is pending determination at the Makadara Law Courts.
