After going down twice in their last two outings, Arsenal finally bounced back to winning streak with a 2-1 victory over their north London rivals Tottenhamn at White Hart Lane in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday night.
The Gunners were reeling, facing third defeat in a week before Mathieu Flamini struck twice to ease the pressure on manager Arsen Wenger.
Calum Chambers netted in his own net to earn Tottenham a consolation but was not enough to stop Arsenal from sailing to the fourth round.
Elsewhere, Anthony Martial came off the bench to score as Manchester United edged out Ipswich 3-0 at Old Trafford.
Skipper Wayne Rooney and wonderkid Andreas Perreira had put United 2-0 up with a goal a piece before Martial wrapped up the 3-0 demolish of the visitors to send the Red Devils to the next round.
Meanwhile, four goals from Ramires, Loice Remy, Kennedy and Pedro helped League Champions Chelsea cruise past minnows Walsall 4-1 as they continue rebuilding after a poor start to the season.
Following the results, Manchester United have been drawn againts Middlebrough at Old Trafford in the fourth round, while Arsenal will travel to Sheffield Wednesday.
Chelsea will be up against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium, while Manchester City will host Crystal Palace at the Etihad.
Bournemouth will face the winners of Liverpool versus Carlisle, Everton will play Norwich, Southampton welcome Aston Villa and Hull
City will face Leicester City.
The games will be played in the week commencing October 26.
