Two police officers, an x- army officer and a security guard were Thursday arraigned in Court in connection with robbery cases at Eastleigh Estate in Nairobi.
The six were arrested after robbery at Eastleigh Estate where a mall and around 60 shops were broken into on Tuesday night.
Police reports indicate that ksh 1.8 million, US$ 17, 275 and gold worth three million were later recovered from the suspects.
Mohamed Kanyari Bilow, a GSU officer, Kahiya Mohamed Omar, an Administartion Police Officer, Jamal Abdulahi Osman an X-Army officer, Hasan Aden Noor a security guard, Billow Abdi Abdile and Nasir Hassan Omar were arraigned before Milimani Court’s Senior Principal Magistrate Marha Mutuku.
The suspects did not take plea as the prosecution side asked for more time to conclude on the investigations.
Prosecutor Jacob Kigunda argued that 60 shops were broken into and the owners are still counting their loses following the incidents.
However the Magistrate directed that the six be put in custody at the Muthaiga Police Station for ten days .
The case will be heard on 19th of September this year.
