Kenya’s Malkia Strikers face Russia after second defeat in FIVB World Cup.

The African queens, Kenya’s Malkia Strikers face Russian on Monday, a day after suffering  a second defeat in the ongoing women’s 2015 FIVB World Cup in Japan.

The Kenyan ladies went down 3-0 sets in the hands of Dominican Republic on Sunday.

The coach David Lung’au side fought hard in the first set but haplessly lose 26-28 before narrowly losing 24-26 in the second set.

Dominican Republic, fired from all the cylinders to win the third set 25-17 condemning Kenya to their second straight lose after having lost 3-1 sets to Cuba in their opening match on Saturday.

Kenya will face off with Russia on Monday in their next fixture as they aim to regain the good run they had that saw them emerged African queens before bagging home World Grand Prix Level 3 accolade earlier this year.
