Cord Leader Raila Odinga kicks off his Western Kenya tour on Friday amid onslaught against him over Sugar Crisis bedeviling the country.
The jubilee coalition has continued also with the onslaught against his Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) where they accuse them of having caused collapse of Sugar industry in Western Kenya.
The MPs led by House Majority leader, Aden Duale claimed Tuesday that Odinga’s attacks on the jubilee government are designed to shield him from his own role in the collapse of the sugar industry in the country.
Duale said Raila’s confession that he owes Mumias millions of shillings is evidence of his complicity in the crisis.
“Mr. Odinga’s melodramatic lamentations are noting but a torrent of crocodile tears meant to deceive farmers and portray him as a defender of their rights” Duale said
Mumias East legislator Benjamin Washiali claimed that the Jubilee government has been supportive in
reviving the industry and wondered why the cord leader is misleading Western Kenya residents.
“I want to tell the people of Western Kenya that as they go to attend Cord meetings, they should know which side of their bread is buttrered.” He claimed
The Cord leader is scheduled to address public rallies in Western Kenya where the Mumias sugar issue is expected to feature prominently.
