African teams started on a bad note receiving a thrashing in the continuing Women’s Netball world Cup in Sydney, Australia.
Uganda was the first to lose its game against Jamaica 47 – 59.
Things did not also go well for Malawi who were defeated 57-47 by New Zealand.
Later South Africa fell to hosts Australia 31-66.
However Malawi tops in pool C with 6 points, followed by South Africa with 4 points.
Uganda is fourth in group D with four points with Zambia becoming last with no points.
Both Uganda,Malawi and South Africa have chances of qualifying for the next round.
