As the Football Kenya Federation –FKF annual general meeting slated for 28th August nears, things seems to be getting out of hand at the Coastal branch.
This comes amid allegations that the suspended former coast NEC member Hussein Swaleh ‘Terry’ and a group of his allies held a meeting on Sunday 9th August in one of the hotels in Mombasa to discuss the future of football in the Coastal region.
This, however, didn’t go well with the current officials who claim the latter is not authorized by FKF to take part in any football activities.
In a joint press conference held on Monday 10th by FKF South Coast branch and Mombasa sub branch, branch chairman Hamisi Mwayoyo refuted claims that him and secretary Evans Mwachia are in office illegally.
Mwayoyo however blamed Hussein Terry for trying to jeopardize their leadership for personal interest instead of focusing on developing football in the Coastal region.
“Hussein Terry should first clear his name with FKF before engaging in any soccer issues” Mwayoyo, further said.
Hussein, however, is yet to respond to these allegation.
Hussein Swalleh Hussein famously known as Hussein Terry was indefinitely suspended by The National Executive Committee of Football Kenya Federation – FKF from all football activities in the Coast Region, nationally, regionally and globally in what was termed by FKF as going against the Federation.
