Two people were arrested on Wednesday at Misurujani area of Tana Delta following fresh clashes between two rival communities in Tana River county, Kenya.
They were suspected to have masterminded the clashes which erupted early Tuesday between the farming and Pastoralists communities at Misurujani area of Tana Delta.
Two people were reported dead and several injured following the clashes.
Tana Delta District officer Mike Kimoko confirmed that Kurawa village was the most affected during the ugly incident.
Other areas affected were Katsangani, Misurujani and Miticharaka areas.
Kimoko said elders together with other areas leaders from the two rival communities have been called in to intervene and ensure peace is restored in the affected areas.
Area residents confirmed the two communities have been wrangling over a land allegedly invaded by a group of pastoralists seeking for grazing space.
