Former Harambee Stars skipper Dennis Oliech and midfield maestro Macdonald Mariga have been recalled to the squad ahead of the 2017 AFCON qualifiers clash against Zambia slated for next month.
The two were left out of the team that settled for a one all draw away to Congo Brazzaville in an opener of the group stages match played on June this year but Stars head coach Bobby Williamson has changed his mind by calling the two in what he terms has the need for experience for his squad which is rich in young talents.
Oliech who is the all time Harambee Stars top scorer is currently clubless after parting ways with French Ligue 1 side AC Ajaccio.
The same fate befell Mariga who is yet to get a club after his former team Parmar FC was relegated from Italian serie A top tie last season citing financial constraints.
Harambee Stars is scheduled to report to camp next week for preparations before taking on Zambia next month in their second match of group E in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Should Dennis Oliech show up for the task, then he will have to battle it out with Gor Mahia ace Michael Olunga and Tusker FC forward Jesse Were for the striking position.
