Arsenal overcame Chelsea 1-0 to retain the Community Shield title in a highly contested London rivalry match played Sunday at Wembley stadium.

Both managers named a strong squad with Petr Cech making his debut against his former employer since switching to Arsenal this summer.
Radamel Faclaso also featured for the Blues though as a substitute since he penned down a season long loan from Monaco following a lackluster season with Manchester United last campaign.
The Community Shield title is Arsenal’s third trophy after having lifted Emirates cup and Barclays Asian Cup in their pre-season tours ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
The Gunners trounced Manchester City 3-0 last season to win the Community Shield tie.
