The rivalry between Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and Arsenal manager Arsen Wenger is set to be revived this Sunday when the two sides go head on in a Community Shield clash at Wembley Stadium.
Although the Community Shield is always affair tie between Premier League Champions and FA Cup winners and also acts as Premier curtain raiser, the encounter pitting Mourinho and Wenger is always a mouth watering fixture taking into account the Chelsea manager’s jibes over his Arsenal counterpart.
Earlier this week Mourinho openly criticized Arsenal and the two Manchester clubs for trying to buy Premier League success following their busy action in the transfer market this summer. Responding to the claims, Wenger insisted that statistics will prove critics wrong.
Arsenal come into the game at the back of a successful pre-season campaign which saw them clinched both Barclays Asian Trophy and Emirates cup after pounding League 1 side Lyon 6-0.
