Hashi Energy Limited, a leading energy solutions provider in East and Central Africa has announced the introduction of their latest Kenyan assembled Auto-gas cars, which are able to run using both petrol and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

The technology is the latest innovation that makes driving a car more Eco-friendly and affordable to motorists and fleet management companies.

Research has shown that vehicles that run on LPG, emit up to 20 percent less pollutants into the atmosphere, as they burn cleaner fuel during the engine combustion process, and therefore increase engine life.

Hashi’s conversion method ensures that the vehicle can run on either petrol or LPG with a dual tank feature, which allows owners to double their mileage between fill ups.

“Greener and more sustainable energy solutions is the future of Africa. We as Kenyans love innovation, so the Auto Gas launch must be carried out in the innovation-hub of Africa with the ultimate goal to see savings on transport, especially in a market where costs are continually rising,” Mohamed Adan, Hashi Energy Limited group CEO, said during the Auto-gas launch in Nairobi last week.

To commemorate the launch, the regional company invited members of the public to register to win, and be the first to drive the Auto-gas-driven cars in Kenya and East Africa.

The car, a Toyota Probox, has been unveiled at major shopping centers across Nairobi city in a promotion that runs for three consecutive weekends, starting May 9th.
